In this full turnkey project ground floor interiors created a classic contemporary look, as per the clients brief. We specified all fixed finishes throughout the house with emphasis on a neutral base with some feature colours to create interest, as well as furnishing to match both the architecture of the home as well as satisfy the client’s style requirements.

For the main living area we incorporated cool greens and natural grass cloth wallpaper.

For the formal lounge a duck egg blue and brown combination was selected with the incorporation of dark woods, abstract seascapes and pure white accessories.

The pre-teenage son’s room had to reflect masculine youth and this was created by using a pop of colour in the multi stripe wallpaper, with furnishing in grey duco. The teenage daughter had a preference for damask and she was pleased with the use of the crisp black and white damask, with accessories in turquoise. The master bedroom called for a dramatic statement yet sticking to a clean feel, natural wood 4 poster bed was used, and a pop of a clean red on the wall, the incorporation of hanging pendants beside the bed formed a practical replacement to the normal bedside lamps. The clients mother also has a room in this house and here there is a clear classic style represented (without the tassles) with accents of warm orange.
